Google Picasa Photos/Slideshows

RecDesk allows you to display an individual photo or a slideshow in the RecDesk Community portal by allowing you to include "embed code" from Google Picasa**. Google Picasa provides detailed instructions for working with and creating embedded content from their service, and the best part is that the software is free!

Creating Embed Code for photos or slideshows from Google Picasa:

1. Download Picasa 3 to your desktop and create an album (we recommend a tutorial if you are unfamiliar with the product). Make sure you are logged into your Google account

2. Click the button on the far right of your album Sync to Web

3. Then go to picasaweb.google.com and log in to your Google account (the same account logged into with Picasa 3) from the upper right of the screen if not already logged in to the correct account

4. Click on the My Photos tab

5. Click on the album you want to embed and share it on right to the PUBLIC

6. Then on the right, click Link to this album

7. If you are embedding 1 photo, then highlight the HTML code in the white box under "Paste HTML to embed in website", copy it onto the clipboard (make sure to copy the entire embed code), and proceed to step 8. If you are embedding a slideshow, click Embed Slideshow, choose your options**, highlight the HTML code in the yellow box, and then copy it onto the clipboard (make sure to copy the entire embed code)

8. Follow the steps under Inserting Embed Code into Content. See Image/Slideshow/Video Embed Guidelines for important tips
